New Delhi, Jun 10: In a shocking account of alleged police brutality, a woman has said that Delhi police officers had asked her to strip and have sex with her minor son inside a police post.
The appalling accusation has been slapped against police personnel at a west Delhi police post, including a woman constable by a 30-year-old woman, who claims that she was not only asked to strip but also asked to have sex with her 12-year-old son, who had been accused of stealing money from a car.
The woman, identified as Mayuri, a resident of Mayapuri slum, has registered a case in this regard with the police commissioner.
The incident took place on May 22, when the parents of 12-year-old Raju and 10-year-old Ramesh learned that their children had been detained in a thief case. Mayuri and her husband went to the police to get their sons freed, but they were abused.
When the couple returned the next day, the police reportedly separated Mayuri and Raju from her husband and younger son and asked Mayuri to have sex with her minor son.
"After confining us to one room, one of the constables took my husband and younger son out of the room and locked it from inside. Then they started questioning me and Raju about the stolen goods, asking us to return Rs 6,000 which they alleged my son had stolen from a women's car," Times of India quotes the woman as saying.
"When I refused, the constable started beating me with his lathi and forced me to take my clothes off," she said, adding, "One of the cops stepped up and asked me to have sex with my son. Both of us started crying and I begged them to let us go. Then one of the constables asked me to have sex with him instead. We begged for our life. Finally, after about one or two hours, they released us."
The area DCP, Sharad Aggarwal, has reportedly ordered an inquiry into the incident, which came to light after an NGO supported Mayuri's family to press charges.
