Israel allows food products into Gaza
Jerusalem, Jun 9: Israel has allowed some food items, which were banned formerly, into the Gaza Strip amid the widespread global oppositions against its blockade. The information was given by the Israeli and Palestinian officials.
The allowed food items include soda, juice, spices, jam, chips, shaving cream, sweets and cookies.
Raed Fattouh, the Palestinian liaison official informed on Wednesday, Jun 9 that some products have already entered Gaza.
Some Israeli officials said that this move is meant to defuse pressure for the international investigation of the flotilla raid. They spoke on the condition of anonymity as the formal announcement was pending.
