Terror attack in Turkey: 15 injured
Istanbul, Jun 8: Atleast 15 were injured in a bomb attack in Istanbul on Tuesday, Jun 8 morning. A police minibus was blasted in Istanbul's Kucukcekmece district.
A road-side bomb exploded as the police vehicle carrying officers on their way to work was passing.
The remote-controlled bomb exploded during the morning rush hour. The injured people include both the officers and passers by, informed the source.
Police informed that no one had been seriously injured and investigations have started. No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
Kurdish rebels, who had launched similar attacks on Turkish police in previous years, are suspected behind this attack. Last week, Kurdish rebel leader Abdullah Ocalan said that he had given up the idea of seeking dialogue with Turkey.
