Melbourne, June 7 (ANI): An attempt by backpackers and residents in Australia to set the world record for the most number of people snorkelling in the nude has suffered a set back due to a registration glitch.
Around 23 nude people wearing only snorkels took part in the over-18 world record attempt on Magnetic Island, which was part of international celebrations for World Oceans Day.rganiser Ben Schultz said the record setters also had "moral support" as others without snorkels got their kits off, which was a novel way to get involved.
"What better way to celebrate oceans and ensuring its future survival than getting nude?" the Courier Mail quoted him as saying.
Those who had signed up to snorkel sans wet suit included English, Irish, Spanish and Kiwi backbackers.
The only thing that stopped them from being recognised by the official Guinness World Record organisation was a registration glitch. (ANI)
