NBA Finals: Lakers need to look ahead

By Anmolg

Los Angeles: Heading into Game 2 of the NBA Finals the Lakers had 14 blocks in game 1, tying the all-time franchise playoff record.

In the backcourt Ray Allen had an NBA Finals record eight three-pointers and scored 32 points, and Rajon Rondo had a triple-double with 19 points, 12 rebounds and ten assists.Gasol was exceptional and had a personal playoffs high 6 blocks IN game 1. Gasol had 25 points and eight rebounds. Meanwhile, his counterpart

Garnett only had six points and four rebounds. Garnett struggled big time and it was a big concern for the Boston Celtics heading into game 2.

Yet standing in the backfoot the Boston Celtics managed to fight against all odds and over power the Lakers in game 2 winning by 103-89.

Two Lakers players struggled in Game 2, Ron Artest, who had just six points and was one for ten from the field, and Lamar Odom who had just three points in 14 and a half minutes.

Lamar seems to completely out of tune, and struggling big time. In the 2008 finals, he was ineffective which cost a lot for the L A Lakers.

The Lakers team seemed to panick a lot and most of the players caught out of position, handing a win in the big playoffs.

Former Lakers and Celtics star, Rick Fox talked about Lakers history where they went to Detroit and where they were knocked down in Game 3 so hard that Lakers never recovered. They lost the game by 20 points, 88-68, and lost the other two in Detroit as well, ending their season in five games according to ESPNLosAngeles.com

'They must be aware of history, but not afraid of history," Fox said.
