England bowlers would struggle in absence of 'swing, seam' Down Under: Siddons

London, June 7(ANI): Bangladesh's Australian coach Jamie Siddons has warned the victorious England bowlers that they would need to find new ways to cope with local conditions Down Under if they have to defend the Ashes.

In overcast conditions and with the ball swinging, England bowled out Bangladesh for just 123 inside 35 overs on Sunday to win the second Test by an innings and 80 runs inside three days.

"It doesn't swing, it doesn't seam in Australia," The Age quoted Siddons, as saying.

"They are obviously good enough to win, they have just beaten Australia, but it certainly won't swing like that [in England]," he added.

Siddons further said that young England fast bowler Steven Finn, touted as an Ashes prospect, has what it takes to succeed in Australia.

"Maybe the new ball will swing for four or five overs, so you need to be like Finn and put it in good areas and maybe get it up a bit fuller because short stuff isn't going to worry Australia," Siddons said.

"They (England) are good enough definitely, they have the batsmen to make enough runs and a good off-spinner (Graeme Swann) for days four and five," he added. (ANI)
