Goa Minister Mickky Pacheco quits
Panaji, Jun 6: Goa Tourism Minister Mickky Pacheco who has been allegedly involved in a controversy over the death of a woman, resigned his post on Saturday, Jun 5.
Pacheco, belonging to Nationalist Congress Party, went missing after quitting the cabinet amid the accusations of bigamy and the raging controversy over the mysterious demise of his 'close friend' Nadia Joelle Torrado happened last week.
He did not turn up before the cops on Saturday, Jun 5, a day after the crime branch of Goa police grilled him for nine hours in connection with the death. ''We"re trying to trace him and have alerted all police stations. He has still not reported to the crime branch nor sent any intimation of his inability to come,"" police had said.
Pacheco faxed his resignation to the CM's office on Saturday, Jun 5, afternoon, informed a source.
