London, June 3(ANI): England midfielder Steven Gerrard has urged his team-mates to deliver according to their potential if they want to achieve World Cup glory.
"We've been together for a long time, so I don't think there are any excuses for us any more. It's time to deliver," The Sun quoted Gerrard, as saying.
"The team is winning and confidence is high, but we still have some improving to do if we want to go all the way," he added.
The 29-year-old, who has played 80 international games, further expressed confidence in his abilities, and said that he could still perform at the top level for another five years.
"I'm in good shape and I've still got five years to fight for the top prizes in football," Gerrard said.
"I don't know if this will be my last World Cup, but I want to give it everything. If I'm going to win it, I'm going to have to do it soon," he added. (ANI)
