Israeli jets attack Gaza strip, no one injured
Gaza, May 29: Israeli war jets on Saturday, May 29 again targeted Hamas ruled Gaza Strip by launching air missile attacks on two targets in the Hamas—ruled Gaza Strip causing damage, but no injuries, the Israeli army confirmed.
Witnesses on the ground said that the missiles hit Gaza Airport, near the southern Gaza Strip town of Rafah. The airport has been repeatedly targeted since it became nonoperational in 2000.
The Israeli war jets had also struck Gaza City"s downtown, launching two missiles and destroying a commercial area though no injuries were reported in this assault.
Israeli army spokesman said in a press statement that the two aerial attacks came in response to an earlier homemade rocket attack carried out by Gaza gunmen at southern Israel.
No one had claimed responsibility in Gaza for the attack against the southern Israeli town of Sderout. No injuries or damages were reported, in that earlier according to Israel Radio.
