Beijing, May 28 (ANI): Indian President Pratibha Devisingh Patil on Friday visited the Temple of Heaven in Beijing.
Addressing a gathering of distinguished guests at the venue, Patil said that mutual understanding of each other's sensitivities" held the key to "deeper and sturdier friendship" between India and China.
Patil, who is on a a six-day visit to China, said on the third day of her visit that there was scope for "time-tested" Sino-Indian friendship "forged in the crucibles of civilisation" to grow.
"Mutual awareness about each other and mutual understanding of each other's sensitivities, will hold key to deeper and sturdier friendship," she added.
Patil could not visit the entire temple complex due to a heavy downpour in the Chinese capital. By Praful Kumar Singh (ANI)
