London, May 25(ANI): England off-spinner Graeme Swann has warned his team-mates against getting caught up in the Ashes fever after the hype that has already been created around it.

"Everyone is already hyping up the Ashes. The Ashes is huge, I know, but we've got six months of cricket ahead of us first," The Mirror quoted Swann, as saying.

"People are focusing on the Ashes already and if the players start doing the same, that could be a bit dangerous," he added.

The 31-year-old further refused to look too far ahead at the moment and said that the national team will be concentrating on the Bangladesh and Pakistan series. You shouldn't underestimate a Bangladesh team who are improving and a Pakistan side who, everyone knows, on their day are ridiculously good. Of course, I'm expecting us to win the game and the series, but we'll have to work a lot harder than other people are giving Bangladesh credit for," Swann said.

"I see it as a massive summer and I need to stay in form. I want to get as many wickets as I can, to put me in the sort of form I'll be happy going into the Ashes with. Then I'll lick my lips when I get there," he added. (ANI)
