Musharraf for a come back to Pak politics
Washington, May 21: Pervez Musharraf, the previous Pak military ruler, has revealed that he wants to re-enter Pak politics and did not rule out a new attempt for the presidency.
He addressed the quiet prominent Pakistanis, living in Washington, at an elite hotel. Musharraf, who has lived in UK reached Washington this week.
He also appeared for an interview with CNN and said that he wants to return, though he has not set a time-limit for this.
"I certainly am planning to go back to Pakistan and also join politics. The question already of whether I am running for president or prime minister will be seen later," says the former leader.
Musharraf would come up with a criminal trial if he returns to his nation, for detaining judges in 2007 when he attempted to adhere the power.
When asked about Benazir Bhuto assassination, he told the media that he could provide as much security as he can to her. He also said that he had previously stopped Benazir from going to the venue where she was later killed by the extremists. "In fact, it was me who warned her about the threat to her," Musharraf said.
