London, May 19 (ANI): Manchester United fans are unhappy as the club could face a 75 million pounds extra debt on account of interest on its latest loan.
American owners Malcolm Glazer and his family have been accused of wasting tens of millions of pounds, as supporters learned that the club faces crippling interest rate rises on their 720 million pounds debt in August.
Duncan Drasdo, head of the Manchester United Supporters' Trust, said: "That is the problem with the Glazers."
"They have wasted every single penny supporters have paid for tickets over the entire five years of their ownership. Every single penny of our money which we paid to our club," The Sun quoted Drasdo, as saying.
The interest rate on United's latest 220 million pounds loan will go up from 14.25 per cent to 16.25 per cent in August.
A City source said: "The pressure is growing on the Glazers to sort their debts out as soon as they can before they go too high.
"They will have to find this money from somewhere and I imagine it will come from the club." (ANI)
