Mumbai, May 17: With Icelandic Volcano yet again spewing ash into the skies leading to the closure of airports in United Kingdom and other European countries, Kingfisher Airlines has decided to cancelled all its flights to London.

"Having assessed the current information received from Eurocontrol, and the trends indicating anticipated closure of the airspace over London"s Heathrow airport due to fresh contamination of volcanic ash, Kingfisher airlines has cancelled its flights to and from London airport," a company spokesperson informed on Monday, May 17.

Meanwhile, Air India has rescheduled its Mumbai-London flight. The carrier's spokesperson said that the decision on Mumbai to London flight AI-131, which was slated for take off at 2:20 am on Monday, May 17 morning, will be taken at 11:30 am.

Jet Airways, on the other hand, has announced no changes in the flight schedules.

London's Heathrow Airport was shut early on Monday, May 17 as the volcanic ash clouds drifting through the skies made it impossible for the flights and the airports to operate.

Northern Ireland, Amsterdam and Scotland have also been hit by the volcanic ash.
