Ipoh, May 17: For the first time in the history, the Sultan Azlan Shah cup was lifted by two teams on Sunday, May 17.
Heavy rains lashed the venue of the finals, where defending champions India and South Korea were expected to clash. The match was abandoned just six minutes after it began.
The unfavorable weather led to a unprecedented ending as it was the first time joint winners were declared in the tournament, which was first played in 1983.
The best player of the tournament title went to Indian defender Sardar Singh.
