JK: Huge cache of arms recovered from forest

Srinagar, May 17: After as many as eleven militants were killed in a gun battle last week in Jammu Kashmir's Kupwara district, the security forces recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from a militant hide out in a forest in the same region.

The security forces who unearthed a militant hideout in the forest of the district recovered 100 grenades and 13 rifles, 10 AK rifles, 160 MM mortars, one rocket projectile gun, three .303 rifles, and 1000 rounds of ammunition.

A defence spokesperson informed that the weapons were found during a search and cordon operation, which has was launched last week.
