London, May 16 (ANI): England football manager Fabio Capello has sent good-luck messages to the cricket team ahead of their World Twenty20 final against arch rivals Australia.
Paul Collingwood and his players take on Australia looking to end 35 years of ICC trophy drought.
Frank Lampard has also sent good-luck messages to the Carribbean by sending text message to his friend Kevin Pietersen.
Capello, who sent a personal email, said: "Good luck to Andy Flower and the England cricket team in the final. It will be a fantastic achievement if they can beat Australia and a great start to a big summer of sport."
Expectation are high as if Collingwood's men win the game, he will join Bobby Moore and Martin Johnson as only the third Englishman to lift a World Cup in a major sport, News of the World reports. (ANI)
