Pillai meets Nagaland Guv, CM
New Delhi, May 12: Union Home Secretary G K Pillai met the Nagaland Governor Nikhil Kumar and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio at the backdrop of the Manipur government's opposition to NSCN(IM) T Muivah"s visit to his village.
On his arrival from Imphal on Wednesday, May 12, Pillai, who was accompanied by Naga peace interlocutor RS Pande, met Kumar and later held discussion with the Chief Minister and senior officials over the issue.
On May 12, Pillai and Pande held talks with Manipur Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh in Imphal to review the situation in the state caused by the economic blockade called by Naga students.
In an attempt to prevent Muivah from visiting village, the state government has imposed a prohibitory orders at the Mao check gate on the inter-state border.
