ESPN seeking $300K as compensation from Erin Andrews stalker

By Super Admin

New York, May 12 (ANI): ESPN is demanding over 300,000 dollars as restitution from the man who stalked reporter Erin Andrews.

The 24-hour cable sports network has asked for the whopping sum from Michael David Barrett, 48, for the mess he caused them, reported TMZ.com.

In documents filed in federal court Monday in Los Angeles, ESPN has claimed that it had to pay for extra security to protect Andrews.

The channel has also claimed that it incurred losses "from assisting the government in its investigation"-and doled out a whopping 327,442.27 dollars once it was revealed that nude images of Andrews had popped up on the Internet, reports The New York Post.

This comes in line with Andrews, who has said she's been an emotional basket case since the footage entered Internet infamy last year, also seeking 335,000 dollars in restitution from Barrett.

Barrett pleaded guilty to stalking Andrews last year and began serving a 30-month sentence on May 3. (ANI)
