Bangalore, May 12: The Karnataka Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is set on for the further investigation of Swami Nityananda's microchip on which the sex romp got recorded.
CID will test the chip at a national laboratory, to confirm that the visuals in the tape is not a scam. The officials hope that it will bring out the truth about Swamiji, reports DNA.
The video is said to be recorded in a spy camera set by Swami's former disciple, Karuppa Lenin, in order to unveil 'filthy' Swamiji.
CID is not sure whether Lenin had an expert hand to help him install the camera. The camera was hidden inside a room freshener.
“We have to see if the master microchip has the original video or not. It is possible for someone to manipulate the visuals. Once we confirm that the images are original, we will summon all those responsible for recording the act," says the CID officer.
“Nithyananda had at least half-a-dozen SIM cards with him. We are looking into the contents of his laptop, seized from the Swamiji soon after his Apr 21 arrest at Solan in Himachal Pradesh," adds the executive.
CID had recently send the computers and hard disks siezed from Nityananda's ashram at Bidadi to the forensic science laboratory in Hyderabad.
