8-year-old Dutch boy survives Libyan plane crash
Tripoli, May 12: A 8-year-old Dutch boy has emerged as the sole survivor of the Libyan plane crash.
The Airbus 330 exploded on landing at the Tripoli airport on Wednesday, May 12. While officials have confirmed the crash, they have refrained from making statements on the number of the people killed in the crash.
As per media reports about 104 people have been killed in the crash, including 93 passengers of various nationalities and 11 cabin crew members.
Earlier reports said that everyone onboard the flight were killed. However, an airport official confirmed to international news agency that a Dutch boy had survived and been rushed to hospital near Tripoli.
The Johannesburg to London Afriqiyah Airways flight reportedly exploded and disintegrated completely. The footage of the crash site shows the extent of the damage. The officials have cordoned off the accident site.
