Hyd police nabs LeT man assigned to cause blasts
Hyderabad, May 4: The Hyderabad police has nabbed Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) operative, who was assigned to launch terror strikes in the city.
The terrorist identified as Mohd Zia Ul Haq was arrested on Monday, May 3. The police said that he was planning on setting off explosions in crowded places in Hyderabad.

and
fire
arms
including
AK-47.
Haq was a resident of Edibazar under Bhavani Nagar Police station. During his arrest the police recovered two grenades, one Chinese made pistol with six rounds and a cellphone.
A handler associated with the terror outfit had assigned Haq to carry out explosions in crowed areas, Khan said adding that the arrested man is also a main accused in the blast that had occurred in Odeon Deluxe cinema hall at Chikkadpalli in May 2006.
As per the information obtained through initial investigation, Khan said Haq came to India from Pakistan along with seven other Indians through Poonch sector in Jammu and Kashmir.
He was assigned to operate as a sleeper cell agent in Hyderabad.
Further information on the Lashkar terrorist will be available after questioning him, the commissioner said.
On receiving intelligence inputs that the city faces terror threat, the Hyderabad police has been on high alert since Apr 26.
