London, May 2 (ANI): Since switching allegiance from Ireland to England in August 2008, Eion Morgan has not looked back and never regretted his decision.

He has entered this year's World Twenty20 championship as one of England's most valued limited-overs players, reports the Daily Express.

Morgan insists that while he has no mixed feelings about having made the switch and is an active member of Middlesex, England and the Indian Premier League outfit Bangalore Royal Challengers, the ultimate prize remains Test recognition.

"It does feel different this time. Obviously it's because there's a lot more expectation on me as I'm playing for a Test-playing nation. When we came here with Ireland, we were huge underdogs and were not expected to do anything but enjoy ourselves. But that World Cup playing for Ireland was a huge learning curve for me," says Morgan.

"I didn't do particularly well and didn't contribute to the side very much. But I learnt about all the stuff I had to deal with if I wanted to be a batter playing at the highest level," he added.

"I still speak to the captain (William Porterfield) all the time he's one of my best friends. We'll have a bit of banter, but aside from that there's just more expectation on me this time," Morgan said. (ANI)
