Lucknow, May 2 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati has reportedly expelled about 5,00 party workers and leaders for dubious and criminal intentions with immediate effect from the party.
Those expelled include Mirzapur Division Zonal Coordinator Narain Das Ahirwar. He has been expelled for not implementing the directives of the party supremo.
It has been reported that the decision to expel the party workers was taken after Mayawati's discussion with the zonal coordinators at Lucknow.
During the two-hour-long meeting, excluding Mirzapur zone, reports submitted by all other coordinators were found to be correct, and on the basis of that they were expelled from the party.
Meanwhile, the Bahujan Samaj Party has alleged that Samajwadi Party and other opposition parties conspired to get entry of leaders and workers with criminal and dubious back ground to the ruling party.
Lashing out at the Opposition, Mayawati on Sunday said they have done this with the objective of keeping anti social elements and criminals belonging to their fold, out of jail, adding that such elements have been identified and BSP has shown the door to all of them.
She said that senior BSP leaders have been asked to recheck about criminal elements of those remaining in the party and submit their report by May 13.
Further criticising the Opposition, Mayawati said they have nothing substantial against her government, so they are making perverse statements to defame her government in the name of data of crime activities. (ANI)
