Photo exhibition of Mahatma Gandhi, Dalai Lama organized in Dharamsala

Dharamsala, May 1 (ANI): A joint photo exhibition of Mahatma Gandhi and Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama is being organised to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the arrival of the latter in India.

Organised by the Kangra Art Museum, the exhibition being held to promote non-violence.

Prime Minister in-exile Samdhong Rinpoche, Tibetan officials, and ministers, along with ministers of Himachal Pradesh government, and locals marked their presence at the photo exhibition.

"The photo exhibition bringing to us two great men of peace, the Father of the Indian Nation and the Dalai Lama," said Dolma Gayri, Deputy Speaker of Tibetan Parliament in-exile.

"On this very special occasion we want to commemorate the great work of non-violence of Gandhiji which is also the philosophy that His Holiness follows. Under the leadership of His Holiness, we also follow the path of non-violence. So it seems appropriate to organize this exhibition with these two great people," said Kelsang Yangki Takla, Tibetan Minister of Information in-exile. (ANI)
