New Delhi, Apr 27: Suspended IPL commissioner Lalit Modi has made it clear that the battle over IPL is far from over. Modi tweeted on Monday, Apr 26, that he is still the Chairman of IPL, just a day after being suspended by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on late Sunday, Apr 25, night as the IPL chairman,
"Thank you all for your message of support. It is really appreciated. I am still chairman of IPL. Just suspended. Wait - we have just begun.," Modi said in According to sources, Modi is planning to legal action against his suspension, which he claims is illegal. He is reportedly consulting top lawyers in this regard and he is said to have been preparing a response to the BCCI chargesheet.
Sources said that Modi he is suspended on false allegation and will wait for the case of former BCCI president AC Muthiah against cricket board Secretary N Srinivasan, owner of India Cement which owns Chennai Super Kings.
He is now hoping that the BCCI would fail to get three fourth majority in the annual general meeting to expel from the post of IPL chairman.
The BCCI has levelled 22 charges against Modi.
