However, the attempt turned futile as the fans followed him inside the gents' toilet and stood on the side of the cubicle where he was hiding to take pictures of on their mobile phones, the 'News of the World' reported
"It was mayhem -- when one girl spotted Harry they all went mad for him. They wanted their picture with him but he just wanted a quiet life, so he went to the gents' toilet to get away," an onlooker said.
"But nothing would put them off. They dashed after him and a group of them piled into the toilet after him. The poor chap couldn't even escape in there."
The incident took place at 1,500-capacity De Niros in Newmarket, Suffolk, where the Prince, who is at present undergoing training as a chopper pilot at nearby RAF Wattisham, went out with his friends to unwind.
"He was just having a lads night out. In London clubs he and William are largely left alone, but Harry caused a bit of a stir out in the sticks," a source was quoted as saying.
The onlooker said the Prince hid in the cubicle, thinking that he would be safe there, but unfortunately the girls just rushed inside the gent's toilet.
"There's no escape," said the onlooker.
However, Harry took the whole incident on a lighter note and joke about it to his pals saying that he felt like one of the Beatles.
