New Delhi, Apr 20: Shashi Tharoor, who got a chance to finally speak in the Lok Sabha, has sought a probe into the allegations slapped against him so that his name can be cleared.
"My conscious is clear and I want to clear my name. I want the charges against me probed," Tharoor said on Tuesday, Apr 20.
Tharoor spoke in the Lower House two days after he was forced to submit his resignation over the allegations of corruption and misuse of power in connection with the Indian Premier League (IPL) Kochi controversy.
The Congress MP also told the house that he stepped down from his ministerial post so that he does not become an embarrassment to the party.
