Nevada (US), April 19 (ANI): In view of actor-producer Wesley Snipes' (Blade) reported fascination with exploring different religions including Hinduism; Hindus have suggested him to look more deeply into ancient Sanskrit scriptures.

Acclaimed Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, pointed out that Vedas, Upanishads and Bhagavad-Gita would prove helpful to MTV nominated Snipes, 47, to analyze the meaning and purpose of life.

Zed, who is president of Universal Society of Hinduism, further said that Snipes could look into "cosmic order" through eternal Vedas, revered as apaurusheya (not of human origin), dating back to around 1,500 BCE.

The philosophical Bhagavad-Gita could guide him about the virtue of seeing god in everything, asceticism, devotion to dharma, nish-kama karma (non-desire activity), doctrine of bhakti (devotion), idea of absolute action, etc.

Rajan Zed stressed that in the sacred teachings of Upanishads, Snipes could uncover the purpose of existence, the nature of God and the soul, essence of ultimate reality, attainment of salvation, concepts of individual soul and universal soul, maya (illusion), karma (action), cycle of birth-death-rebirth, etc.

If Snipes needed any help on this issue, he or other Hindu scholars would gladly assist him, Zed added. (ANI)
