Karachi, Apr 14: The people of Sialkot, which is Shoaib Malik's home town, are sending a gold crown for the cricketer's new bride, Sania Mirza as a wedding gift.
Indian tennis ace will be receiving the crown and a painting by noted artist Sadeqain as wedding gifts during her wedding reception set to take place on Thursday, Apr 15 in her home town, Hyderabad.
Besides this, Pakistan President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani are also sending their gifts to Sania Mirza.
Minister for Welfare and Population, Firdous Ashiq Awan, will be bringing in the gifts for the bride.
"I will also be taking gifts from President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani for Sania. I don't know what gifts had been given by the President and Prime Minister. Only Sania will know when she opens the gifts herself at her wedding reception," Awan told a news agency.
Thanking the Indian government for making her visit to India possible, Awan said that the people of Pakistan are overjoyed that the marriage was completed successfully.
On the couple's arrival at Pakistan, the government would hold special receptions for them in Islamabad, Lahore, Sialkot and Karachi, the Pakistan federal minister added.
