27 injured in gas cylinder explosion in Delhi
New Delhi, Apr 13: Twenty seven people were injured after a gas cylinder explosion triggered off a fire in a slum cluster in Delhi, fire brigade officials said.
Some huts were burnt down in the fire which broke out at around 8:30 am in the slum cluster near Premwari Bridge in AO- Block in Shalimar Bagh.
Officials said that the explosion could be due to a gas leakage. Seven fire tenders have been rushed to the spot and the fire have been doushed out in about 70 minutes, they added.
"Twenty-seven people were injured in the incident and they were rushed to a nearby hospital where they are undergoing treatment," they said.
