Walcott vows to score big against Barcelona at Camp Nou

By Super Admin

Barcelona, Apr 6(ANI): Arsenal winger Theo Walcott, singled out as the biggest threat by Barcelona ahead of Tuesday's Champions League semi-final second leg at the Camp Nou, has vowed to score big in the crucial tie.

Walcott's stunning super-sub display in the first leg at the Emirates has caught the imagination in Barcelona, as his goal helped Arsenal fight back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2.

"As a winger you have to be on the front foot. Hopefully I can get at them and produce a problem. We have got to believe that we can get a result," The Sun quoted Walcott, as saying.

Earlier, Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes had said that though although his club will prove too much for Arsene Wenger's side, Walcott could still give them a problem or two.

"Walcott showed what an important player he is for them. When he came on he showed he is attacking and his speed and talent helped them. He is an important player for Arsenal and we will have to keep an eye on him," Valdes said.

"We will just try to hold him up and stop him - keep him away from the danger zones and deny him space," he added.

When asked for his views over Valdes' comments, Walcott said: "It's nice people are saying good things, I've just got to show it on the pitch. There are big players missing, but we've got to come here and do a job. That's all we can do."

"If we can keep it at 0-0 and get that early goal maybe it can keep the fans quiet," he added. (ANI)
