London, Apr.3 (ANI): British boxer David Haye knows exactly why he would never have made a footballer like his Manchester United star pal Rio Ferdinand-a short fuse.
His temper was so bad that he used to end up punching his team mates, reports The Sun.aye makes the first defence of his WBA crown against John Ruiz at the MEN Arena tonight - and Ferdinand and Chelsea stars Didier Drogba and Joe Cole are expected at ringside after their crunch Premier League clash in the city.
But the Londoner admitted: "I didn't really like football because I would finish up punching team-mates when they wouldn't do what they were supposed to. I'd turn up for games with the sole idea of giving everything. Then, when I looked around, I'd see others on the team not grafting, not going for the ball. That's when I would get mad and become so frustrated. It was always going to be an individual sport for me instead of a team game." (ANI)
