Sania Mirza and family apply for Pak visa

Hyderabad, Mar 30: Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza, who is all set to marry Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik, seems to be eager to visit her would-be's country.

Sania Mirza, her parents as well as her sister on Tuesday, Mar 30 applied for a Pakistan visa.

This comes hours after the country learned of the ties between the Pakistani all-rounder and the Hyderabadi girl.

The news of the Indo-Pak romance and marriage was confirmed by the parents and the young couple. While Shoaib tweeted late on Monday, Mar 29 night, Sania released a statement in this regard.

Sania's father Imran Mirza also confirmed the reports after Shoaib"s mother met with Sania"s parents

According to media reports, Walima or reception is likely to take place in Lahore on Apr 16 or 17. The marriage is also expected to take place in Apr 2010.

Sources have revealed that the two athletes have been dating for over six months now. However, it was only two months ago in Jan 2010 that Sania called off her marriage with her childhood friend
Mohammad Sohrab Mirza.
