London, Mar 28(ANI): Manchester City defender Kolo Toure has urged club owners to retain Roberto Mancini as manager.
Toure's appeal came after it was revealed that the board is looking for alternatives to Mancini.
"We can't keep changing managers. Every time it happens, we have to adapt to a new way of thinking under a new manager. With Roberto, we are starting to understand what he really wants," The News of The World quoted Toure, as saying. He knows how to win trophies, but it takes time and it cannot happen straight away. We need to adapt to his system," he added.
The 29-year-old further said that continuing with Mancini is the key to City's future.
"Mancini brings us experience and every time we play we feel strong, we have stability and that is important. We are happy with the job we are doing. We play as a team, we feel good and comfortable with the manager," Toure said.
"When you build a club the only way is to have continuity. Look at Manchester United, where Ferguson has been for 24 years. Arsene Wenger has been at Arsenal for 14 years and for the last five he didn't even win a thing, but he's still there," he added. (ANI)
