Miami, Mar 24: India's campaign at the Sony Ericsson Open came to an end in Miami, USA came to end with Somdev Devvarman falling to third-seed Ukrainian Illya Marchenko.
Marchenko thrashed the Indian youngster 4-6, 3-6 on Tuesday, Mar 23 in the second round qualifying match of the 3,645,000 dollar tournament.
However, Devvarman put up a stiff battle against the third seed after the impressive first round win against David Guez of France.
Devvarman's compatriot Yuki Bhambri crashed out of the tournament earlier in the very first round, going down to top seed Denla Istomin as the Uzbek.
With the two Indians out of the game, the country's campaign has come to an end.
