Rafter urges Oz parents to get children off computer games and into sport

By Super Admin

Melbourne, Mar 18 (ANI): Australian tennis legend Pat Rafter has urged parents to get their kids away from computer games and push them to play sport.

Rafter, a father of two, said parents must put in the effort to take their children to sport because it could make a huge difference to their lives.

"Sport is a great distraction and can keep kids out of trouble," The Courier Mail quoted Rafter, as saying.

"It's healthy and teaches great discipline. Some children need more activities than others, depending on energy levels. My parents used to take my brother to six sports every weekend," he said.

Rafter, a dual US Open champion, said he was determined to get his own two children Joshua, 7, and India, 4, into sport.

"I'm trying to keep them away from TV and computer games as much as possible," he said. (ANI)
