London, March 14 (ANI): Britons are some of the least likely people to have problems with foods such as apples, peaches, shrimp and wheat, says a study.

The research, by Imperial College London, found people from US, Germany, Italy and Norway suffered more from food sensitivity reactions.

The study, based on more than 4,500 adults from 13 countries, discovered those from Portland, Oregon, in the US, nearly 25 per cent, had higher prevalence of food sensitivity when compared with those in Iceland (11 per cent) and Spain.

Britain and France were said to be next at 14 per cent in the study led by Dr Peter Burney, the Guardian reported.

Boffins also noticed that different countries tended to have similar specific foods that triggered reactions. Hazelnuts, peaches, shrimp, wheat and apples apparently emerged as the most common. (ANI)
