Pak: Another suicide bombing in Swat kills 7
Just a day after the twin suicide attacks hit Lahore killing over 45 people and injuring over 100, a suicide bombing targeting security forces in the Swat valley killed at least seven on Saturday, Mar 13.
The terror strike targeting a security checkpost in Mingora, capital of Swat Valley, was carried out by a bomber in a rickshaw, Mingora city police chief Qazi Ghulam Farooq told an international news agency.
On Friday, Mar 12 twin blasts ripped through a Lahore market. Firing followed the blasts. The terror strike hit the heavily guarded cantonment. Therefore the army personnel guarding the area are believed to be prime targets. Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
Pakistan has witnessed six terror attacks this week as the militants have renewed their assault against the security forces.
