Sena targets BHNS for continuing to use 'Bombay'
Mumbai, Mar 12: Shiv Sena has now launched an attack against the Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS) for continuing to use 'Bombay' instead of 'Mumbai'.
As per reports suspected Sena activists went on a rampage and vandalised the 126-year-old BNHS' property.
According to the police, as many as 40 activists armed with bamboo sticks stormed into the society's premises and removed the 'B' from the signboard on Thursday, Mar 11. night.
They also put up banners in Marathi with 'Mumbai Natural History Society".
The society has not yet lodged a complaint and the police are yet to make any arrests in connection with the incident.
