Clarke 'seeking legal advice to protect fortune from Bingle'

By Super Admin

Melbourne, March 12 (ANI): Aussie cricketer Michael Clarke is believed to be seeking legal advice to protect his multi-million dollar fortune if he decides to break up with fiancee Lara Bingle over her nude photo scandal.

Bingle and Clarke have not seen each other or spoken for two days, reports the Daily Telegraph.

The cricketer is believed to have gone to ground at his 6-million-dollar Bondi beachfront apartment. Bingle is said to have moved out to stay nearby with friend.

Family law experts said that couple's two-year engagement was treated the same as a marriage under de facto laws introduced in Australia last year.

However, they also said that Bingle would have to prove she contributed significantly to their lifestyle to claim any of her fiancee's assets.

Clarke owns four properties including the Bondi apartment he has shared with his fiancee since last September.

It is understood that Bingle's name is not present on any of the title deeds and that neither she nor her company, Chilli Dog Promotions, are listed as owning any property.

But legal experts said that she would probably get to keep her 4.7 carat diamond engagement ring and the Aston Martin which were bought for her as presents by Clarke.

Clarke would keep his staffordshire terrier Jerry and Bingle would keep her two pomeranians. (ANI)
