India wins two golds at Asian Youth Boxing C'ships

New Delhi, Mar 11: The Indian team has done the country proud at the Asian Youth Boxing Championships in Tehran, Iran by bagging two gold medals and three silvers.

While Vikas Krishnan (60kg) and Naveen Kumar (81kg) grabbed the two gold medals for India, Devendro (48kg), Venkat Giddi Nagarjun (57kg) and Sumit Sangwan (75kg) emerged as runners-up to claim three silver medals for the country.

With a tally of 28 points India finished second behind Kazakhstan, which posted 34 points.

Apart from the golds and silvers, India's tally also gained from the four bronze medals won earlier.

The team is expected to land in India on Friday, Mar 12.
