Peshawar, Mar.3 (ANI): The two abducted Sikhs, who were reportedly rescued by Pakistani security forces on Monday, appeared before the media to recall their horrific tale.

During an interaction with media persons at a local Gurudwara here, one of the freed Sikh youth, Surjeet Singh, said he has no idea who had actually kidnapped him.

Surjeet said his abductors placed no demand during his 42 days captivity.

The other Sikh youth Rajpar Singh, who had received a bullet wound during the military operation, has been admitted to the Combined Military Hospital.

The Pakistani military had claimed that it has rescued two abducted Sikh youths during an operation carried out in the region between the Khyber agency and Orakzai region.

A spokesman of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said acting on a tip-off, security forces conducted an operation in the restive region along the boundary between the Khyber and Orakzai agencies and rescued the two Sikh youths.

"Many militants were also killed during the operation and further details about the action would be provided soon," a military spokesman said.

Last month, the Taliban had beheaded a Sikh youth and his mutilated head was found in a Gurudwara in Peshawar. (ANI)
