London, Mar. 3 (ANI): Egypt coach Hassan Shehata reckons that England players John Terry and Ashley Cole should be thrown out of the world Cup squad in the wake of their alleged infidelities.
"This could never happen in the Egyptian team. We endorse strong bonds and respectful relationships," The Mirror quoted Shehata, as saying.
"We have different traditions and rarely face these kinds of problems. But if it did happen within the team, it would be a serious and big problem and unacceptable, not only from me, but from the society as well," Shehata, who operates a Muslims-only policy for his squad selecetion, added.
Shehata dumped West Ham striker Mido from his squad after a string of rows.
"I always strive to make sure that those who wear the Egypt jersey are on good terms with God," he said.
Egypt's Borussia Dortmund striker Mohammed Zidan said: "Our coach has demanded that we play at our best level, prove we are a good team and playing at Wembley is exciting for any player."
Egypt midfielder Mohammed Abou-Treka added: "I missed the African Nations Cupo through injury and I am hoping I will get the chance to get a place in the starting XI." (ANI)
