American stuntman smashes Harley-Davidson jump record

By Super Admin

Sydney, Mar 2(ANI): A US stuntman has broken the world record for the longest distance jumped on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Seth Enslow shattered the previous 10-year-old record when he flew to a new record distance of 183.7 feet (56 metres) on his Harley-Davidson XR1200 near Sydney Harbour.

The previous record was held by Bubba Blackwell, with a 157 foot (47.85 metres) jump in Las Vegas in 1999.

"This is awesome! I'm stoked!" The Daily Express quoted Enslow, as saying after entering the record books.

Enslow appeared to be in pain after the jump, but members of his stunt team said he was fine.

"We've worked hard at creating history and we're all glad he landed it safely," said Adrian O'Donoughue, a Harley-Davidson spokesman.

Enslow's jump is not a Guinness World Record, as Guinness has no category for specific motorcycles, but it still stands as a world record.

Evel Knievel set the record in 1975 and held it for 24 years before Blackwell's jump. (ANI)
