Lahore, Mar. 1 (ANI): Awami Muslim League Chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has claimed that PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif and his brother Shahbaz Sharif orchestrated massive poll rigging in the NA 55 by-elections.
Ahmed added that he has withdrawn his candidates from the NA 123 and PP 82 by-polls in protest against the rigging by the Sharif brothers.
Rashid alleged that the rigging took place with the collusion of the provincial government.
The Dawn quoted him, as saying that the breakfast the Sharif brothers hosted for Prime Minister Gilani in Raiwind was in order to win the NA 55 seat.
He also accused Gilani of stopping the election thrice.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore, Ahmed urged the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take notice and form a commission to inquire about the massive rigging of the NA 55 elections.
He also warned PPP of Sharif's nefarious designs by saying that the party has double standards, as he went abroad after signing an agreement with Musharraf. (ANI)
