London, Mar 01 (ANI): British Prime Minister Gordon Brown had girls tagged 'Brown Sugars' to campaign for him when he stood for rector of Edinburgh University in 1972. Now, he has similar hotties join the ranks of Labour Party to assist him in the forthcoming general election.

The glamorous women are set to counter Brown's opposition David Cameron's 'Cuties'.

In the list is GMTV's Gloria De Piero, 37, who once defeated Kate Moss in a 'World's Sexiest Woman' poll.

She is set to take Geoff Hoon's seat in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire.

"Gloria would be a huge asset to the party and to Parliament," the Telegraph quoted a Labour insider as telling a Sunday newspaper.

The source added: "She has a first-class degree, a long history of Labour affiliation and excellent contacts."

The other Labour woman who has drawn attention with her glamorous ways is Luciana Berger, 28, from Liverpool.

She recently took part in a Tatler-style modelling shoot for a national newspaper.

The original "Brown Sugars", wearing miniskirts and T-shirts reading "Gordon For Me", had helped Brown get elected as rector of Edinburgh University. (ANI)
