WC warm up: India beats Netherlands, Argentina

New Delhi, Feb 26: After defeating Argentina, the Indian hockey team took down Netherlands in the second warm up match ahead of the big World Cup tournament.

India claimed a victory of 2-1 at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium here on Thursday, Feb 25.

Prabhjot Singh and Deepak Thakur scored for India while Taeke Taekema converted a penalty for the opponents.

Earlier the team had clinched a win with the same score of 2-1 against Argentina.

India is in the Pool B consists of Australia, Spain, England, South Africa and Pakistan teams.

On Sunday, Feb 28, India will clash against Pakistan in the first match.

If the warm ups are any indicators of how the team is going to perform in the actual games, then the country is in for a treat.
