Rail Budget dedicated to people: Mamata
New Delhi, Feb 24: Indian Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee has said that the Railway budget would be dedicated to the common man.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Feb 23, she said, "It is dedicated to janata as common man is our asset and strength."
She said, a new express train called "Peace Express" between Kashmir and Kanyakumari would be dedicated to the common man.
Besides the Peace Express, a "Culture Express" will also be announced as railways' tourism package to cover India's important heritage sites, she said.
Refusing to say anything on the budget proposals, she said "wait for Feb 24 to know everything."
Mamata will be presenting her fourth Railway Budget and the second of the United Progressive Alliance Government-II on Wednesday, Feb 24.
