Lalu questions Mamata's budget
New Delhi, Feb 24: As expected the war of the Railway Ministers has begun as the former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav has now raised questions on the facts and statistics that the current minister Mamata Banerjee used to formulate Railway Budget 2010.
Responding to the Rail Budget 2010, which was presented to Lok Sabha at noon on Wednesday, Feb 24, the RJD chief said he would like to ask Mamata based on what facts was her budget formulated.
He also said that the budget is a matter of concern.
The former Railway minister had earlier questioned about the accounting system Mamata Banerjee followed to prepare the Railway Budget.
"She had raised question on my accounting in my Railway Budget. I just want to ask her one question with due politeness, that, is she presenting the Budget with some new accounting system or she is using the previous figures, used in my previous Budget on which she raised questions," Lalu had stated.
This was in response to Mamata's allegations that Lalu had misinformed people on the railways' earnings during his tenure by inflating revenue and profits of the railways.
